Multiple Tenure-Track/Tenured Faculty Positions in Neuroscience at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University
The Department of Neuroscience and Regenerative Medicine in the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University invites applications for three open-rank tenure-track faculty positions. The positions may cover any area in cellular or systems neuroscience. Applicants with expertise in neurodegenerative disease, cellular electrophysiology, and in vivo circuit studies are particularly encouraged to apply. Additional areas of interest include epigenetics and human iPSC-based neurological disease models. Candidates must hold an MD, PhD, or both, and are expected to have or establish a cutting edge extramurally funded research program, and may participate in teaching medical and graduate students. Department faculty have access to excellent core facilities for multiphoton/confocal and electron microscopy, small animal behavior and imaging, genomics and proteomics, flow cytometry and bioinformatics. Our department is also the home to the new Transgenic and Genome Editing Core.
