The Neuroscience Department at Oberlin College invites applications for a full-time non-continuing faculty position in the College of Arts and Sciences. Appointment will be for a term of 1 year, beginning Fall 2020, and will carry the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor of Neuroscience.
The incumbent will teach a total of five courses per year. We are seeking an individual to teach classes in the general area of Cellular/Molecular Neuroscience (a laboratory and lecture course in Neurophysiology or Neurodevelopment are particularly desirable). Additional teaching responsibilities include laboratory and lecture neuroscience courses at the introductory level and a seminar course.
Among the qualifications required for appointment is the Ph.D. degree (in hand or expected by first semester of academic year 2020). Candidates must demonstrate interest and potential excellence in undergraduate teaching. Successful teaching experience at the college level is desirable.
