A position for a postdoctoral fellow specializing in the molecular biology of addiction is available immediately in the laboratory of Dr. R. Christopher Pierce at Rutgers University in Piscataway, NJ. A wide array of projects focusing on rodent models of stimulant and opioid addiction are underway including examination of epigenetic underpinnings as well as transgenerational effects, among others. The successful candidate will have a PhD in neuroscience, molecular biology or related field. Extensive molecular biology experience is required with techniques such as RNA-seq, ATAC-seq, chromatin immunoprecipitation and related data analyses. Familiarity with rodent addiction models is preferred but not required.
