The Valdez lab (http://valdezlab.com/ and https://vivo.brown.edu/display/gvaldez1 at Brown University is looking to add highly?motivated and self?driven individuals to identify the underlying cellular and molecular causes of synaptic and neuronal degeneration in Alzheimer’s disease, ALS, and during normal aging. These studies will primarily be carried out in rodents and utilize histological, molecular, biochemical, electrophysiological, high?resolution imaging, and behavioral assays. We are looking for individuals with the ability and desire to drive projects forward independently and as part of a collaborative research team.
Requirements Applicants must have a Ph.D. in the biological sciences with a particular focus on cellular and molecular biology. Experience with histology analysis and imaging, neuronal culture, molecular biology, behavioral assays and with rodent husbandry are essential.
