Position/Job Summary:The Department of Physical Therapy at Ithaca College invites nominations and applications for multiple full-time, tenure eligible faculty positions at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor starting in the 2020-21 academic year. We seek candidates who will contribute to our department and profession through innovative and interprofessional teaching and scholarship. Responsibilities of faculty include teaching, advising students, scholarship and service. Due to faculty retirements and a continued strong enrollment picture, we are seeking applicants with expertise in the following areas: neuroscience, physiology/pathophysiology, acute care, pediatrics, orthopedics and/or cardiopulmonary rehabilitation. They will join a dynamic, experienced department with state of the art facilities that include a movement analysis lab, cadaver anatomy lab, a developing patient simulation lab and a fully operational on-campus clinic. The selected candidates will enhance the learning opportunities in a well-established six-year Doctorate of Physical Therapy curriculum that provides a seamless undergraduate to graduate education. Position/Job Qualifications: Candidates must have an academic doctorate (PhD, EdD, DSc, (ABD considered)). Eligibility for physical therapy licensure in New York State is preferred.Previous teaching experience and a research agenda desirable.
