A postdoctoral/research associate position is available for a Neuroscientist to study the pathogenesis and therapeutics of Alzheimer’s disease using genetically modified mouse models and human patient materials at the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis campus. The postdoctoral/research associate will use molecular, cellular, electrophysiological, and behavioral approaches to investigate the role of HDL/apolipoproteins and related signaling pathways in Alzheimer’s disease. Candidates should possess a Ph.D. degree with a strong background and interest in neuroscience and/or neurodegenerative disease research. Highly self-motivated and career-oriented scientists with experience in human iPSCs, primary neuronal/glial cell culture, viral vectors, transcriptome analysis, confocal microscopy, and/or rodent brain slice/in vivo electrophysiology are preferred.
