A postdoctoral research position is available in the Davidson Lab in the Department of Anesthesiology, College of Medicine at the University of Cincinnati. The overall mission of the lab is to improve understanding of the neurobiology of pain and itch. The successful candidate will have opportunities to perform research related to transduction and signaling of human dorsal root ganglia, and investigations on how plasticity in thalamo-cortical circuits contributes to pain in rodents.
The successful candidate will be highly motivated with a terminal degree in a related biomedical field (e.g., PhD), a solid record of publication (including as first author), demonstrate excellent oral communication skills, and be able to provide strong references from individuals familiar with the candidate’s work.
Experience with electrophysiology is preferred.
