The Systems Neurobiology laboratory of Christopher A. Del Negro, Ph.D. seeks a full-time Neuroscience Laboratory Specialist. The Specialist will work closely with the lab chief and senior Research Scientist to manage lab resources including: personnel, instrumentation, experimental animals, consumables, and intellectual resources. He/she will calibrate, maintain, and optimize histology and microscopy instruments, as well instruments for electrophysiology. He/she will manage experimental animals as well as participate in experiments, particularly histology. He/she will work with a dynamic research-focused team consisting of undergraduate, graduate (Ph.D.), and postdoctoral trainees in a highly cross-disciplinary environment, and play a major role in the intellectual productivity of the lab. Compensation is $37-59K commensurate with experience. Master’s degree in physiology, biology, or a related discipline. Experience with laboratory animal husbandry.
