A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Helen Lai in the Neuroscience Department of UT Southwestern Medical Center to study the biochemical interactions of transcription factors necessary for nociceptor development. The project entails elucidating the direct downstream targets and protein-protein interactions of transcription factors as well as assay development for chemical screening. The Lai Lab (http://helenlailab.org) has a strong interest in understanding the development of circuits underlying sensorimotor behavior.
We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and inquisitive postdoctoral candidate with a background in biochemistry. An interest in developmental, molecular, and cellular neuroscience as well as experience with ChIP-seq, scRNA-seq, and protein biochemistry is preferred. UT Southwestern is a premier research facility with state of the art core facilities and extensive career development opportunities for Postdoctoral Fellows. Candidates must have a Ph.D. and/or M.D. in a relevant field and should have published as least one paper in a peer-reviewed journal.
