The main research goal, aided by multiple transgenic mouse models, is to study molecular and cellular mechanisms underpinning adaptive brain function and pathophysiology associated with psychiatric disorders. Candidates with PhD and/or MD degree and experience in the field of neuroscience and/or molecular biology are encouraged to apply. This position requires skills in experimental design, data analysis, trouble-shooting and problem-solving, and effective oral and written communication. Previous trainings and skills in molecular/cellular biology, slice or in vivo electrophysiology, animal behavior, genetic and optogenetic approaches are preferred. This position offers opportunity to identify key regulators of neuronal plasticity and homeostasis as well as therapeutic targets/strategy for the treatment of Fragile X syndrome and Bipolar disorder.
