The Overstreet-Wadiche lab is recruiting highly-motivated postdoctoral fellows for NIH-funded projects to study the physiology of the dentate gyrus. Current goals include addressing how adult neurogenesis alters dentate circuitry and how GABAergic interneuron subtypes contribute to neurogenesis and inhibition. Fellows will work within a collaborative group with expertise in synaptic physiology, and use techniques including electrophysiology, imaging, modeling and transgenic mouse models. More information can be found here:
A Ph.D. in neuroscience or a related field is required. We are looking for scientists who share our research interests and who are motivated by exciting and rigorous science. Candidates should have a record of scientific excellence and experience with electrophysiology, imaging, biophysics, or adult neurogenesis. Send a detailed CV, a statement of future research goals and the names and contact information for three references.
