Postdoctoral Research Associate in Sensory Processing
A Postdoctoral Research Associate Position is available in the Lemon lab in the Department of Biology at the University of Oklahoma. The successful candidate will contribute to studies on the functional organization of sensory pathways in the mammalian brain. Current efforts use in vivo neurophysiology, behavioral assays, and molecular tools in mice to delineate the organization of thalamic and parabrachial circuits mediating somatosensory and nociceptive coding, and the interaction of these circuits with other brain systems (an example recent paper can be found here: http://www.jneurosci.org/content/early/2019/01/03/JNEUROSCI.2000-18.2018). These multi-year projects are currently funded by the NIH and a State agency.
Minimum qualifications include a doctoral degree in a relevant field and a career focus on neuroscience. Both early career and advanced postdoctoral scholars are encouraged to apply.
