The main research direction of the lab is to study molecular and cellular mechanisms underpinning adaptive brain function and pathophysiology associated with psychiatric disorders. Candidates with PhD and/or MD degree and experience in the field of neuroscience are encouraged to apply. This position requires skills in experimental design, data analysis, trouble-shooting and problem-solving, and effective oral and written communication. Previous trainings and skills in molecular/cellular biology, animal behavior, imaging, gene delivery, genetic and optogenetic approaches, and electrophysiology are preferred. This position offers opportunity to identify key regulators of neuronal plasticity and homeostasis as well as therapeutic targets/strategy for the treatment of Fragile X syndrome and Bipolar disorder.
