The Neuroscience Department at Oberlin College invites applications for two full-time non-continuing faculty positions in the College of Arts and Sciences. Appointment to each position will be for a term of 1 year (with the possibility of renewal), beginning Fall 2019, and will carry the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor of Neuroscience.
The incumbent in each position will teach a total of five courses per year. We are seeking one individual to teach classes in the general area of Cellular/Molecular Neuroscience (a laboratory and lecture course in Neurodevelopment are particularly desirable) and another individual to teach classes in the general area of Behavioral/Cognitive/Systems Neuroscience (laboratory and lectures courses in Sensory Neuroscience, Neuroanatomy, or Behavioral Neuroscience are particularly desirable). Additional teaching responsibilities include laboratory and lecture neuroscience courses at the introductory level and a seminar course.

Among the qualifications required for appointment is the Ph.D. degree (in hand or expected by first semester of academic year 2019). Candidates must demonstrate interest and potential excellence in undergraduate teaching. Successful teaching experience at the college level is desirable.
