Available Immediately: Post-doctoral position in the Behavioral Neuropharmacology Laboratory (http://www.unl.edu/psychoneuropharm/) at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. We are looking for an individual that will bring an infusion of new ideas as well as contribute significantly to the progress of ongoing projects. One such project investigates how behavioral and neuropharmacological processes involved in the perceptibility of a drug stimulus and the behavior it controls changes with learning history. Other projects focus on novel pharmacotherapy approaches for nicotine and methamphetamine addiction, understanding the reward-enhancing effects of drugs using behavioral economics, and development of more translationally relevant animal models to inform FDA tobacco regulation policy. We are extending these arms of the research program to include sex differences and nicotine-alcohol interaction. Candidates must have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in related area. Salary will be competitive. Send CV and the name of 3 references electronically to Dr. Rick Bevins at firstname.lastname@example.org.
