The research laboratory of Prof. Leslie Kay in the Institute for Mind and Biology at the University of Chicago seeks a postdoctoral scholar to work on projects in olfactory behavioral neurophysiology funded by NIDCD and DARPA. We are searching for candidates with a subset of the following skills: rodent operant behavior, electrophysiology in freely moving rodents, optogenetic manipulation, amperometry, neural oscillations. Required: 1) experimental neurophysiology, and 2) signal processing in MATLAB or Python or strong background in neurophysiological data analysis and programming. Competitive applicants will have completed their Ph.D. in a relevant field and published one or more first author research articles. Salary and benefits commensurate with NIH postdoc scale. Position available immediately.
