Postdoctoral positions available at the Department of Neurology, University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Research projects: Two postdoctoral position are immediately available in the Department of Neurology laboratory, University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. We are looking for motivated individuals to work on NIH-funded projects on molecular mechanism of cerebral ischemia. The laboratory uses state-of-the-art cellular and molecular biology, Biochemistry, Morphology, Imaging and Behavior approaches to study the molecular mechanisms and therapeutic strategies for cerebrovascular and neural dysfunction after acute and chronic ischemia.
Qualifications: MD or PhD or equivalent in Neuroscience, Neurology, Molecular Biology, or related fields. Experience in stroke animal models, cell cultures, molecular biological methods, histological, and neurobehavioral technique is preferred. Strong interest in neurological disease research and English proficiency. The ideal candidates should have a solid publication record and evidence of excellent skills in Neuroscience research.
