Purpose: My laboratory is looking for a responsible, highly motivated post-doctor.
Scope of study: Alzheimer’s disease, Rett syndrome, and other forms of brain injury. The projects include (1) microglial pathophysiology in neurodevelopmental disorders. (2) experimental therapeutics for Alzheimer’s disease such as microglial potassium channel blockers, and (3) glycoproteomics of brain disorders.
Required background: Ph.D. (or M.D. with substantial benchside research experience), who has experience in molecular biology and cell biology, preferably with experience in rodent models and neural cultures. Experience in electrophysiology is also desired.

Dr. Jin is Professor of Pathology and Neuropathology Director at University of California Davis Medical Center. His research focuses on Alzheimer's disease and Rett syndrome. He is affiliated with the University of California Davis M.I.N.D. Institute, Alzheimer's Disease Center (ADC), and Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Research Center (IDDRC).
