Postdoctoral Fellowship in The Human Spatial Cognition Lab: Position Description
The Human Spatial Cognition Lab in The University of Arizona Psychology Department (www.humanspatialcognitionlab.org) is seeking a postdoctoral fellow to work with the PI, Arne Ekstrom, to develop research projects involving the neural basis of human spatiotemporal memory. We strongly encourage students with a background and interest in human memory and neuroimaging to apply. The applicant should have, or be anticipating, a Ph.D. in psychology, cognitive science, neuroscience, or possibly bioengineering, with relevant past experience in a research lab.
The Human Spatial Cognition Lab works at the forefront of research on memory and navigation and has a 1800 square foot lab space available. This includes a VR-navigation room, two omnidirectional treadmills, a separate room for behavioral testing, and staff office space. The University of Arizona has state of the art neuroimaging facilities, including a new 3T scanner, TMS/fMRI, and scalp EEG/fMRI.
