(Updated by the PI on 11/07/2018) The laboratory of Fuzheng Guo, PhD, at the Department of Neurology, UC Davis Medical Center and the Institute for Pediatric Regenerative Medicine (IPRM) of Shriners hospital, is seeking 1-2 highly motivated and creative postdoc researcher(s). Research interest in the Guo lab centers on the molecular mechanisms of glial cell development, injury and regeneration in the central nervous system, with a particular focus on oligodendroglial and astroglial cells.
The successful candidates should have at least one first-authored paper in well-known journals. Prior experience of transgenic mouse models and animal behavior test is required. Expertise of electrophysiology is advantageous.
Very competitive salary and benefits will be provided and commensurate with experience. The expected start date should be as soon as possible in 2018 and/or early 2019. The position(s) will remain open until filled.
