Applications are invited for a full-time postdoctoral research associate within the Smith Lab (Psychological and Brain Sciences, Dartmouth College). This position is funded by an NIH R01 grant. It is for 2 years with a possibility of renewal.
The position involves research on motivational processes in the limbic system, and will include rodent training and testing (including the use of transgenic animals), brain manipulations such as DREADDs or optogenetics, brain activity measurements such as calcium imaging, and rigorous data analysis. Postdoctoral associates are incorporated into the broader Psychology and Neuroscience community at Dartmouth.

Applicants must hold a PhD or equivalent in neuroscience or a related field. Experience with animal research, data analysis software, publication of studies, and grant writing is required.
