Postdoctoral position at Yale – Prefrontal cortex and value-based decisions in mice

A postdoctoral position in systems neuroscience is available in the laboratory of Alex Kwan at Yale University School of Medicine. Research in the lab focuses on the mouse prefrontal cortex with emphases on how circuit mechanisms enable value-based decision-making. We are also interested in circuit-level dysfunctions associated with chronic stress and schizophrenia. The lab uses in vivo two-photon calcium imaging, in vivo and slice electrophysiology, and optogenetic perturbation to study cortical circuits, primarily in head-fixed, behaving mice.

The qualified applicant will hold a PhD and should have at least one first-author publication. Experience with scientific programming and statistical analysis using MATLAB, Python, or R is highly desired.
