Postdoctoral fellowship in neuroscience or neurotechnology at the University of California San Francisco, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory
The UCSF Kavli Institute for Fundamental Neuroscience Fellows Program seeks to bring recent Ph.D. graduates or early stage post-docs with strong technological and or quantitative backgrounds, to work with members of Kavli IFN on questions related to neuroscience or neurotechnology. The Kavli IFN includes members of the UCSF Neuroscience community as well as scientists and engineers from Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) and Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL). We seek applicants with degrees in Physics, Mathematics, Engineering, and Computer Science or related fields. Ideally fellows will work across laboratories within UCSF or across UCSF and LBNL or LLNL.
The Kavli Fellows Program will support fellows for two years while they learn about neuroscience and related fields and rotate in Kavli IFN labs and identify projects. We expect that most fellows will rotate freely during the first year, then identify specific groups with whom to begin exploring potential long term projects in year two. The expectation is that in year three onwards the fellow will be supported by a fellowship or by the lab or labs where they work in year two.
To apply, please forward you’re CV, a 2 page statement of past work and future interests (including a list of potential faculty or labs with whom you would like to work) to Shelley Green (email@example.com). In addition, three letters of recommendation should be sent separately to Shelley Green (firstname.lastname@example.org).
