This is to announce a job opening for the position of Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Texas A&M University Department of Neuroscience and Experimental Therapeutics. The successful candidate will join a research lab focused on understanding the impact of age on spinal cord injury and the physiopathology of spinal cord injury. Major techniques of the laboratory include primary cell isolation and culture, viral and non-viral gene targeting strategies (in vitro and in vivo), immunohistochemistry, fluorescence & confocal microscopy, biochemistry, bioinformatics and sequencing, rodent surgeries and behavioral analysis. The Postdoctoral Research Associate will lead a project focused on defining how age impacts neuron ability to grow after spinal cord injury as well as understanding the physiopathology and physiological alterations occurring after chronic spinal cord injury.
