The project will focus on how splicing of the Syngap1 gene during development regulates synapse structure and function. Successful candidates will have recently received a Ph.D. degree, have a strong publication record and have prior multi-photon imaging or whole-cell patch clamp experience. Computer programming skills (e.g. MatLAB) are also desired.
This position will focus on the study of neural network structure and function in mouse models of intellectual disability, autism spectrum disorder and epilepsy.
