Our mission is to successfully bring a first in class Parkinson’s therapeutic to IND.
We are seeking a Biologist or Medicinal Chemist who has successfully managed drug discovery at a large pharmaceutical company or led a biotech through IND, preferably with CNS expertise to lead development of a new class of compounds.
Provide expert guidance on preclinical discovery efforts and support executive team in strategic planning
Design and manage execution of research plan for therapeutic candidate pipeline
Analyze and interpret results to guide scientific direction of preclinical experiments and pipeline prioritization
Drive internal therapeutic efforts by managing a variety of chemistry and biology CROs as well as a lean internal team to meet discovery milestones
Manage budget and timeline commitments for discovery team
Lead preparation of regulatory submission documents
Build and maintain relationships with academic, industry, vendor, and government KOLs
Present at relevant meetings and conferences
Assist with forming a marketing package toward pharma in-licensing of IP
Assist with funding strategy and grant preparation
PhD in chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology, neuroscience or related field with at least 15 years of pharmaceutical (discovery to IND stage) experience
Experience in Central Nervous system (CNS) therapeutic development a plus.
Experience managing team of biologists and chemists
Highly motivated team player who encourages open communication and energizes internal and external teams
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills with ability to influence group decisions
Recognized and respected internationally as leader within the field
