Johns Hopkins University
June 11, 2018
Full Time - Experienced
Academic / Research
A postdoctoral position is available in Dr. Xiaoqian Chai’s Developmental Cognitive Neuroscience Lab within the Cognitive Neurology/Neuropsychology Division of the Department of Neurology at Johns Hopkins University. Our research program is focused on how brain development supports learning and memory from children to adults. We use brain imaging tools (fMRI, DTI, resting-state fMRI) to understand how maturation of large-scale brain networks relates to learning and memory development. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their own research questions within the area of brain and cognitive development.
The ideal candidate will have experience in cognitive neuroscience, strong quantitative skills, and an interest in working with children. Expertise with fMRI is preferred but candidates with other relevant experience (EEG/TMS/cognitive development) will be considered. A PhD in a related field such as neuroscience, psychology, and cognitive sciences is required.
This full-time position with benefits is fully funded for two years with an initial appointment of one year. There is also the possibility of extending the position beyond the first two funded years by applying for outside fellowships. The start date is flexible.
Applicants should submit a letter of interest, CV, brief research statement, relevant publications, and contact details for two academic references to firstname.lastname@example.org Lab website: http://chailab.org
