Postdoctoral positions in synaptic plasticity at Johns Hopkins University
Johns Hopkins University
June 11, 2018
Full Time - Entry Level
Academic / Research
Applications are invited for postdoctoral positions in the laboratories of Drs Hey-Kyoung Lee and Alfredo Kirkwood at the Johns Hopkins University. Research at the joint Lee and Kirkwood labs combine electrophysiology, optogenetics, imaging and molecular interventions to study mechanisms of neural plasticity. Ongoing projects focus on synaptic mechanisms of circuitry remodeling (Neuron88:528, Nat. Neuro.21: 10.1038/s41593-018-0150-0), and their role in cross modal plasticity (Neuron 81:664) and aging (JNS 35:11346)
Highly motivated individuals holding a Ph.D. and a strong background in systems and/or cellular neuroscience are encouraged to apply. Special considerations are given to applicants with training in whole-cell electrophysiology and a strong quantitative background. Qualified individuals should send a copy of curriculum vitae, a research statement, and names of three references to Drs. Lee (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Kirkwood (email@example.com). The positions are available immediately. Application review is ongoing and will continue until the positions are filled. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
