The Dorrance and Jackson Labs are seeking a highly motivated research associate (Postdoctoral Researcher) to work on an exciting and recently funded study to assess how vascular dysfunction may lead to cognitive impairment in overweight rodent models. The research associate will work primarily on calcium imaging and electrophysiology studies to assess if cerebral endothelial cell calcium transients are altered by high fat feeding. The candidate will also assist in experiment planning, data collection and analysis. The successful applicant will also train and supervise students. The candidate will also responsible for publishing the results and will assist in grant preparation.
A recent PhD in Pharmacology, Physiology or a related field is required.
Calcium imaging experience is desired.
Additional Salary Information: Compensation will be based on the NIH NRSA post-doc pay scale.
