The laboratory of Brendon Watson at the University of Michigan Medical School is searching for 1 full-time fully-funded postdoctoral fellow in systems neuroscience. The position is for a project relating cortical substructure/layers, brain states and information processing. We will use silicon probes as well as optogenetics in head-fixed rodents receiving specific sensory stimuli. The ideal person will have experience in both extracellular electrophysiology and MATLAB data analysis but applicants with purely analytical/computational or purely experimental backgrounds are welcome to apply as well. Fellows will be given intellectual input in trajectory and designs of the project.
Positions will begin as early as July 1, 2018 and are funded for 1 year at the standard NIH payscale with option to extend if it is mutually agreeable to both lab director and fellow.
