We are seeking an experienced electrophysiologist to join our laboratory which is focused on Ca2+ signaling mechanisms that regulate vision, hearing, and cognitive/affective function. A particular focus is on voltage-gated Ca2+ channels and their roles in the central and peripheral nervous system. We apply a broad range of techniques in mouse genetics, electrophysiology in cells and in tissue, optical imaging, and behavior to address the pathological mechanisms underlying disorders of vision and hearing, as well as neurological and neuropsychiatric disease.
