A Research Scientist position is available in Dr. Jianhua Cang's lab at the University of Virginia, Department of Psychology. The candidate will join the ongoing studies of the mouse visual system, as well as lead the effort to use other animal model(s) in studying the function, organization and development of the mammalian visual system.
A Ph.D. in Neuroscience or a related discipline and postdoctoral experience in vision research are required. Candidates with a strong background in electrophysiology, two-photon imaging, and/or animal behavior are preferred.
This is a one-year appointment; however the appointment may be renewed, contingent upon available funding and satisfactory performance.
