POSTDOCTORAL ASSOCIATE position available immediately for an NIH funded (P. M. Di Lorenzo, PI) project on the neurophysiology of the gustatory system Electrophysiological recording from single cells in awake behaving rats will be used to study neural coding in gustatory nuclei in the brain stem. Optogenetic tools and calcium imaging will be used to study centrifugal inputs ot brainstem gustatory nuclei.

Qualified applicants should have a Ph.D. in neuroscience or a related field with a specialty in sensory systems. Experience in extracellular recording is highly desirable.
