The University of Illinois (http://illinois.edu/) and the Department of Health and Kinesiology (https://ahs.illinois.edu/kch-home) seek to hire an outstanding faculty member in exercise, movement science, or brain health. We seek applicants who can contribute to the excellence of our programs through research, teaching, and service. The position is a nine-month, tenure track appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor. The scope of the position encompasses scientists with expertise in exercise, human movement, neuromuscular control, or brain structure and function among human populations with or without disease. The successful candidate will be expected to take advantage of significant recent investments by campus in imaging technologies, including a new human 7T MRI system. This new faculty position is part of a broader campus expansion targeted at leveraging the 7T MRI for Brain Health and Precision Medicine, including a strategic cluster hiring initiative (https://mricluster7t.web.illinois.edu/.
