The Neuroscience Program at William & Mary, a public university of the Commonwealth of Virginia, invites applications for a 3-year, non-tenure track Assistant Teaching Professor instructional position that will begin August 10, 2025. This full-time teaching faculty appointment carries a service component commensurate with rank and comes with the possibility of ongoing renewals and a framework for promotion. Located in historic Williamsburg, Virginia, and close to metropolitan areas such as Richmond, Norfolk, and Virginia Beach, William & Mary consistently ranks among the top public universities nationally.

We seek an individual with expertise in behavioral or cognitive neuroscience or a related discipline.  The successful applicant will be expected to be an effective teacher and will have a [3-3] teaching load.

Required: A Ph.D. in Neuroscience, Biology, Psychology, or a related discipline is required at the time the appointment begins. Candidates will be expected to teach an undergraduate course in Physiological Psychology and develop advanced undergraduate courses in behavioral or cognitive neuroscience.

Preferred: Previous undergraduate instructional experience and mentoring are preferred. Candidates with experience or ability to additionally teach Cognitive Psychology and/or Statistics are especially encouraged to apply. Previous experience teaching undergraduate courses in Psychology and/or Neuroscience is preferred.
