The Department of Neuroscience at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis is seeking applicants for a full-time, non-tenure track, open rank faculty educator in medical gross anatomy and medical neuroscience. The successful applicant will work collaboratively with other basic scientists and clinicians to develop an integrated curriculum using evidence-based instructional methods. Preference will be given to exceptional educators. More senior applicants should have demonstrated leadership in curriculum development. An independent research program is not required, but for those applicants wishing to pursue research, preference will be given for those working in the fields of Biological Anthropology, Neuroscience, Comparative Anatomy, or a related discipline. The Department has a long and distinguished tradition of providing exceptional medical education and is internationally recognized for its outstanding research programs in Biological Anthropology and Neuroscience.

Successful applicants are expected to design meaningful learning experiences with clinical relevancy in the integrated Gateway Curriculum at Washington University School of Medicine. Duties will include preparing session materials, staffing dissection laboratory sessions, writing assessment questions, collaboration with other content leaders, writing for publication, and participating in departmental and university service.

Applicants should have completed an advanced degree (PhD in Biological Anthropology,  Neuroscience, or Anatomy preferred) and have documented teaching excellence in medical anatomy, cadaveric dissection, and medical neuroscience. Faculty rank will be dependent upon the experience of the applicant.
