NEUROSCIENCE postdoctoral positions to study the neural control of sleep & wakefulness, and/or cortical rhythms related to schizophrenia in rodent models. Location: The Laboratory of Neuroscience at Harvard Medical School located at the West Roxbury VA Medical Center. This multidisciplinary laboratory uses diverse approaches collaboratively to investigate the subcortical control of cortical activity, sleep-wakefulness, and behavior in animal models of sleep disorders and schizophrenia. Candidates with PhD in Neuroscience or Molecular Biology are preferred. Experience in optogenetics combined with in vivo electrophysiological & behavioral analysis, in vivo microdialysis, RNAseq, Single-cell expression profiling, in vivo calcium imaging (INSCOPIX), and the ability to work both independently and cooperatively as a member of a larger group, is desirable. Position pays NIH stipend or better.
