The UCLA Eli and Edythe Broad Center of Regenerative Medicine and Stem Cell Research (Broad Stem Cell Research Center (BSCRC)) is recruiting multiple new faculty working in stem cell research. Investigators with basic research interests in stem cell biology, organ development, tissue regeneration, and stem cell aging as well as those with a more clinical translational focus on stem cell therapeutics and regenerative medicine are encouraged to apply.
Each of the positions is a state-supported, tenure-track/tenured professorship with a guaranteed salary base, outstanding fringe benefits, and substantial start-up funds. The current base pay range is $90,700 - $117,600 annually for Assistant Professor, and $111,900 - 141,100 for Associate Professor. Other components of pay are offered when necessary to meet competitive conditions. Appointments will be made in an appropriate academic department in the College of Letters of Science, School of Medicine, School of Engineering, or other professional Schools.
Candidates for tenured Associate Professor positions must have well established and funded research programs. Assistant Professor applicants should have demonstrated their potential for research leadership. In all cases, emphasis is placed on the applicant’s record of research accomplishment, creativity, and promise of continuing success.
UCLA offers a highly collaborative multi-disciplinary research environment that promotes interactions between faculty in the Schools of Medicine, Engineering, Nursing and Dentistry, the College of Letters and Science, and units that include the Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center, California NanoSystems Institute, Brain Research Institute, and UCLA AIDS Institute. The BSCRC features numerous established research cores including flow cytometry, advanced microscopy, high throughput sequencing, and human pluripotent cell banks. In addition, the Alpha Clinic and CTSI provide well-trained staff to facilitate clinical trials.
