PSYCHOLOGY DEPT-ASSISTANT PROFESSOR: NEUROSCIENCE FOCUS ON MENTAL HEALTH AND/OR AGING
The Department of Psychology at the University of Georgia (www.uga.edu/psychology) invites applicants for an Assistant Professor position in Neuroscience focused on Mental Health and/or Aging, to begin Fall 2025.
Successful candidates will have a Ph.D. in psychology, neuroscience, or a closely related field. Successful candidates will demonstrate a solid record of research commensurate with career stage, and strong potential for external funding.
Candidates will affiliate with one or more of the Psychology Department’s core training areas (Behavioral and Brain Sciences, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, and Clinical Psychology) and may join the Interdisciplinary Life Sciences Neuroscience graduate program. Candidates will be expected to contribute to the teaching needs of the Psychology Department at the graduate and undergraduate level. This position is part of a cluster hire in support of a new BS degree in Neuroscience. Candidates will be expected to contribute to the implementation of this degree by supporting associated teaching needs.
The Department of Psychology has approximately 45 faculty members, 90 doctoral students, and 2100 undergraduate Psychology majors.
