The University of Notre Dame's College of Science is launching a cluster hire to fill five tenure-track faculty positions in neuroscience. This strategic initiative seeks outstanding candidates with expertise in cellular neurobiology, molecular neurobiology, or computational neurobiology. These positions are part of a collaborative effort across the Departments of Biological Sciences, Chemistry and Biochemistry, and Applied and Computational Mathematics and Statistics.

 

Key Highlights:

 

  • Positions Available: Five tenure-track roles at the rank of Assistant Professor; exceptional candidates at the Associate or Full Professor level will also be considered.
  • Position Duties: Successful candidates will conduct research, teach classes, and engage in service.
  • Research Focus: We are seeking researchers who investigate the development, regeneration, and function of the nervous system, as well as the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying health and disease, detection, and treatment. Candidates working with various model systems, including non-mammalian models, are encouraged to apply.
  • Collaborative Environment: Join a vibrant, interdisciplinary community within the College of Science, with access to state-of-the-art facilities and numerous Centers and Institutes. Opportunities for collaboration with the NIH-funded Indiana Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute (CTSI) are also available.

Qualifications:

 

  • PhD, MD, or equivalent terminal degree in Neuroscience or a related field
  • A strong record of research accomplishments
  • Commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring
