The Mesulam Center for Cognitive Neurology and Alzheimer’s Disease (MCCNAD) and the Department of Radiology, Feinberg School of Medicine (FSM), Northwestern University invite applicants to apply for an Associate or Full Professor Tenure Track Faculty Position in Human Neuroimaging with a research emphasis in Magnetic Resonance Imaging and/or Positron Emission Tomography. The ideal candidate would have an active research program that synergizes with the mission of the MCCNAD (https://www.brain.northwestern.edu/index.html), a multidepartmental, multidisciplinary academic unit focused on understanding mechanisms of cognition, brain aging, and the pathobiology of dementia, as well as the development of more effective treatments for dementia.

The appointment will be in the Department of Radiology (https://www.radiology.northwestern.edu/index.html). FSM has two 3T Siemens Prisma MR scanners 100% dedicated to research and daily research blocks on the 3 PET/CT and 1 PET/MR scanners located at Northwestern Medicine on the Chicago campus with several active commercial radiopharmaceutical suppliers in the Chicago area.

The faculty member will have an office in the newly renovated MCCNAD on the downtown Chicago campus. The MCCNAD is home of the Northwestern Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center, which has an Imaging Core that the faculty member will lead and access to high performance computing resources.

Candidates should possess a PhD, MD, or equivalent degree and have an established record of research productivity and independent grant funding in neuroimaging related to aging and/or dementia.

Candidates should demonstrate an interest in developing strong, productive interactions with faculty colleagues; the ability to contribute to the intellectual diversity of the MCCNAD; and ability to work with and mentor diverse trainees.
