The Senzai Lab (https://sites.northwestern.edu/senzailab/) is launching at Northwestern University in January 2025, and we are seeking highly motivated postdoctoral researchers to join our new team.
Our lab focuses on the superior colliculus as a central hub orchestrating perception both in waking life and in dreams during sleep. We investigate its interactions with thalamocortical networks crucial for vision, action, and navigation. We utilize cutting-edge technologies, including chronic large-scale electrophysiological recordings (e.g., Neuropixels), neuronal decoding, optogenetics, behavioral analysis, and computational techniques in freely behaving and sleeping mice.
Applicants with previous coding experience are highly encouraged to apply. Salary is commensurate with experience and includes comprehensive benefits. If interested, please send a CV, a brief statement of research interests, and contact information for 2-3 references to yuta.senzai@northwestern.edu.
