Job Details
The Jaeger lab at Emory University https://scholarblogs.emory.edu/jaegerlab/ is looking to recruit a postdoctoral fellow to work on our NIH funded project in studying the cell-type specific function of motor and premotor cortex in mice. The technical approaches will include mouse behavioral training and behavior analysis, optogenetics, Neuropixels recording, and voltage imaging. A specific objective is to compare normal and Parkinsonian cortical function. The successful candidates will have prior expertise in rodent neurophysiology and a strong background in data analysis. Emory University provides a vibrant and supportive environment for postdoctoral training including grant writing workshops and teaching opportunities, as well as strong training in movement disorders. The Atlanta location allows for affordable living conditions in a cosmopolitan setting with a world class airport. Compensation is dependent on prior experience and is aligned with the NIH NRSA schedule with additional health insurance and other benefits.
