Postdoctoral Scholar - Neuronal excitability, Synapses & Glia

The Maccaferri lab at Northwestern University, Feinberg School of Medicine, Department of Neuroscience is seeking to fill an NIH-funded postdoctoral position.

We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic applicants to study the neuronal networks of the hippocampal formation, with a special emphasis on GABAergic inhibitory microcircuits. Previous experience with patch-clamp electrophysiology, anatomical reconstruction of recorded cells, immunohistochemistry and confocal imaging is an advantage, but not critical. 

This position is immediately available, fully funded for two years, and may be extended depending on satisfactory progress. The ideal candidate will have a recent PhD and at least a first author peer-reviewed scientific article.
