A postdoctoral position is available in the Laboratory of Addiction Neuroscience led by Dr. R. Christopher Pierce at the Rutgers University Robert Wood Johnson School of Medicine. The position focuses on aspects of psychostimulant-induced neuronal plasticity, including transgenerational effects. For more information on ongoing research in the lab, see piercelab.org. Significant prior experience with rodent drug self-administration is required. There will be ample opportunities to utilize other methodologies during the postdoctoral training period including (but not limited to) single-cell sequencing, optogenetics and patch clamp electrophysiology.
