The Mochizuki lab in Dr. Phillip Frost Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine seeks a highly motivated Postdoc to lead a project studying the brain and genetic mechanisms of itch perception in humans. This project is currently supported by NIH R01 grant.
Our project includes fMRI studies. Thus, it is preferable if the candidate has experience with brain imaging studies and data analysis of brain images in humans. We expect the candidate to scientifically contribute to ongoing projects, help assemble and write scientific grant applications to federal and non-federal institutions for funding, write scientific reports in the form of conference abstracts/presentations, articles, and reports for funding agencies, and mentor undergraduate and graduate students if required.
Minimum requirement: PhD and/or MD in relevant fields
