The Department of Pharmacology, Physiology & Biophysics at the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine is excited to announce faculty positions opening at the Assistant Professor/AssociateProffesor/Professor level. We are seeking a dynamic and innovative researcher with a strong background in pain/somatosensation or substance use disorders. Candidates must hold a PhD, MD, or equivalent degree and have a proven record of past and current extramural research funding in these areas. We are particularly interested in scientists focusing on molecular approaches to addiction research, or pain/somatosensation, with an interest in the broad areas of synaptic physiology, epigenetics, transcriptional regulation, molecular mechanisms. Expertise in electrophysiology will also be highly regarded. We welcome applicants with diverse and complementary expertise who can contribute to our vibrant research community. The successful candidate is expected to establish a robust, externally funded research program and contribute to the training of our PhD, MD, and MA students.
The Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine is part of the Boston University Medical Campus and has 660 medical students and a similar number of graduate students actively engaged in the study of medicine and biomedical sciences.
