A postdoctoral position is available in the Laboratory of Addiction Neuroscience led by Dr. R. Christopher Pierce at the Rutgers University Robert Wood Johnson School of Medicine. The position focuses on aspects of cocaine-induced neuronal plasticity, including transgenerational effects. For more information on the focus of the lab, see piercelab.org. Candidates with significant prior experience including rodent drug self-administration, epigenetics, and/or molecular biology techniques strongly encouraged to apply. In addition to animal models of addiction, there will be ample opportunities to utilize other methodologies during the postdoctoral training period including various molecular biological and epigenetic techniques (i.e. RNA-seq, ATAC-seq, ChIP, etc.), optogenetics, patch clamp electrophysiology, etc. To apply, please send a CV to chris.pierce@rutgers.edu with Postdoctoral Application as the subject line.
