The Neuroimaging and Electrophysiology Team at the Vanderbilt University Institute of Imaging Science at Vanderbilt University Medical Center seeks to hire a Postdoctoral Fellow in the area of Neuroimaging and Neuromodulation. VUIIS is a leading interdisciplinary institute with a strong neuroimaging program. This position will support primate research on ultrasound neuromodulation, pain circuits, drug delivery, and translation of ultrasound neuromodulation devices to pain management in humans. The candidate will work closely with the research team comprised of Neuroscience, MRI and ultrasound neuromodulation experts. The research focuses on Focused Ultrasound (FUS) neuromodulation of the primate pain circuit using a multimodal experimental approach.
Requirements: We are seeking a motivated individual with a Ph.D. in a relevant discipline with prior experience in neuroimaging research. A neuroscience research background and experience in analyzing data in MATLAB is required. Experience in functional MRI is desirable. The candidate should have excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Compensation will be based on the candidate’s research experience level under current NIH guidelines.
