Job Details

A full-time postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Dr. BYOUNG-IL BAE in Department of Neuroscience at University of Connecticut School of Medicine (UConn Health). The BAE lab studies cerebral cortical development in health, disease, and evolution at the molecular and cellular levels using insights from human genetic disorders and rigorous model systems including human neural stem cells, mice and ferrets. For more information, please check the lab website http://www.baelab.org

Currently, we are focusing on

  1. How embryonic neurogenesis underlies mammalian social cognitive behavior, and
  2. How the gyrencephalic (convoluted) cortex is more vulnerable to loss of centrosomal proteins

UConn Health has an interactive and vibrant research community, and offers employees excellent benefits. Farmington and surrounding areas provide quality living environment.
